My office is compiled of a three-monitor desktop, laptop, NVR, KVM, and switch.
My NVR captures 4 live feeds, which I view on my left monitor via KVM. The security system stores footage locally to its preinstalled HDD on the NVR. I can view the footage and feeds from the NVR or the mobile app. However, I only see an option to save/download video on the mobile app. The NVR will overwrite its storage as it goes, so I will need to save footage I want to keep. I prefer to not save them to my phone, when I have my digital vault in my basement. Do I need to download them on my phone and then send them to my server, or is there a way I could access the HDD on the NVR from my Desktop PC. To my understanding, the KVM will not transfer data. But could I make the NVR appear on my Desktop as a network drive?
EDIT: The NVR, laptop, and desktop are all connected to the same switch.
