I have jsut upgraded my Dell Lattitude laptop to XP Pro from 2000 Pro. I
also selected the NTFS file structure, was at FAT32 before. I can boot to
both o/s. How do I transfer the programs and files from 2kpro to XP? Do I
have to reinstall all the old programs and applications? Can the files be
moved directly or do I have to copy them off 2000 on to some media then
re-copy them into my XP partition?

Thanks.

Hi,

If you can boot to either OS, then you did not upgrade, you created a dual
boot. You can share data between the operating systems, but programs will
need to be installed under WinXP before you can use them there.
