Question Access Violation Error (0xc0000005)

Hello,

A couple days ago I swapped out one of my RAM sticks. I am now running dual channel Corsair Vengeance - 2x8 @3000MHZ.
I've been running a steam game, and usually 10-30 minutes in I am greeted with a crash and this message (cropped out extra stuff)

UnityPlayer.dll caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)
in module UnityPlayer.dll at 0033:6a56d2ff.

Write to location 0000000000000010 caused an access violation.

I know that this error has something to do with the application trying to draw memory from the RAM which might not exist anymore. Could this be due to me swapping my RAM? And if so, how do I fix it?

Do you have citrix workspace installed? If so, uninstall it , restart pc and run game. See if this helps.

No, I do not. I think the problem could be that the game is trying to call on RAM that is not in the PC anymore. Is there any way to stop it from doing this?

Put a copy of memtest86 on a flash stick.
Boot the stick and let it run.
No errors allowed.

Ran test, zero errors. Could it be anything else?

Reset the BIOS to default and see if it works

If you are using mixed batch memory sticks it can cause an issue. Especially with AMD cpu's. If you have matching batch memory try using those too see if problem goes away.

try downclocking your ram in bios, try 2666MHz, to see if that game crashing dissapears

I have it at the default XMP setting for this RAM (300MHz). I will try this.
