[SOLVED] Access Violation on Ram or Faulty CPU?

Been having crashes from google chrome like status breakpont and access violation to many games and apps.
Tried setting it to different xmp frequencies.
Tested with mem86 with no errors.
Changed ram and motherboard.


My Specs:
Asrock B450M Steel Legend
Gigabyte RX 580
Kingston Fury Beast RGB 16gb 2x8gb DDR4 3200mhz Cl16
Ryzen 5 3600
Kingston SA2000M8250G

Does this only happen for Chrome? Try reinstalling Chrome or use a different browser for the time being to eliminate the possibility of corrupt software.

I had the same issue , all browser was crashing for me (Edge, Chrome, Fire Fox , Opera). The only functional browser was Opera GX where I limit my RAM usage to 4 GB and CPU limit to 25% (sometimes it still crash but works fine most of the time)

- Installed clean windows from USB Stick (Win 10) > Issue Persist
- Changed RAM > Issue Persist
- Change SSD > Issue Persist
- Physically checked the motherboard for any damage (no damage found using my eyes) > Issue Persist
- Cleaned the entire unit and added new thermal paste > Issue Persist

What happened was a blew a CPU core while playing Valorant ( I live in a hot country ) , I didn't expect the CPU core to break since windows run fine , just having browsers crash with the STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION.

Installed Prime95 (CPU Stress Test Tool) and found out that CPU core #6 is faulty. I just limited the CPU core to run at 5 cores and now works fine.

FIXED : WIN+R > Type "msconfig" > Boot > Advance options > Number of Cores ( Each core counts as 2 so if your CPU has 6 cores it would display 12. Selected "Number of cores" to 10 to run only 5 CPU Cores.
