Accessing Settings Issue

Hello, so i booted up my pc today and have been having issues accessing my PC settings.

I am the only person using the PC and have never seen this until today.

Does that happen in all settings menus or just the windows Defender Security centre?

if its just defender, it appears that is a bug with latest version of windows 10 - http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-3699432/windows-defender-page-administrator-limited-access-areas-app.html

Do you use any other Anti virus?

This started happening to me right after I installed the big April update. Workaround that worked for me is to go into Task Manager under Background Processes and close the Windows Defender Notification . When the icon disappears from the system tray, go to c:\Program Files\Windows Defender and open MSASCuiL.exe. Then the system tray icon returns with the green check mark.

But when I restart the computer I get the red x again, so I have to go through this all over again each time I restart.

Please fix this, Microsoft!
