Accidentally dropped phone into water, HELP!

I recently dropped my phone into water and have no idea how to solve this problem. I have no experience in mobile computing so any method or way that may fix this will help. After dropping it I put it into rice hoping the water will get sucked out by the rice. It did. However, it does not boot. The phone is a Sony Experia XA and the battery cannot be removed. I tried also using a hair dryer to maybe dry it even more and I noticed it turned on when I used it. But, after removing the heat it does not boot. What do I do? I need this phone urgently. How long have you let it sit?


You need at least a day or so.

Hello, yes I've let it set for just under 2 days.

Ok, thank you. But, it boots when I use a hair dryer. Do you know what might be causing this?

The heat might be making things inside expand and make proper connections for a bit.

Keep trying for a few more days alternate between the rice and the heat. Just don't actually try to turn it on for 2 more days.
