I have no clue where to begin, i had a problem with my PC that fortunately i fixed. When i got logged back into the PC the internet wouldnt work, it said that the Ethernet was not connected. While messing with settings and all i accidentally uninstalled the Network adapter driver. So now i have no internet on the PC in order to search for drivers, in addition, i don't know what drivers i need, how to install them Manually, and what the initial problem was. I'm really bummed out about this and will appreciate any help that comes from this. Only specs i feel are necessary to mention is that my Mother board is an MSI x99a Sli Plus.. i am running on Windows 10 x64 bit. Also almost forgot to mention, i believe the initial problem had to do with my Ethernet controller. Sorry for the vagueness, i'm just really irritated, ignorant, and upset.

I'll check for the install disk, i actually didnt think about it. Is realtek universally the type of adapter? i see a lot of people saying that on forums.

Yeah, i tried to download it earlier. It was that little white file that i can't open. Wasn't like an executable, or a setup thing that did it.

It turns out i do have a disc, no obvious mention of a network driver, but it does have some other things.. Any broader category that a network driver would fit under?

Okay while it was installing i got the following message ; "The Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the cable" Any idea what that's asking me to do?

i allowed it to install/ update anything it wanted to, some stuff ive been going without apparently such as an HD audio driver, but no, i have nothing that mentions what i need.

No, i got this PC about September last year, windows 10 came default on it. Yet, when i was searching, a lot of people seemed to say that updating did mess it up.

Seems to be a similar problem, unfortunately when in device manager.. realtek network controller isnt there. Thanks so much for the help though!

well accidentally said that was solution lol, but no i never changed the bios, sorry i clicked that . 😵

Any way i can check to see if there is a point there.. there was maybe a 15 minute difference from when i finally got my PC to work, to when i uninstalled the driver.
