Hi, just a quick question regarding a ram upgrade i recently made. I don't have anything fancy, just 32Gb of DDR 4 3200 now, and after enabling the XMP profile in the bios, I went to check the speed after boot up to verify. If I check in Task Manager, it shows 3200, but when I check on something like CPU-Z or Speccy, I just see the default speed. Is this a limitation of the third party programs to accurately read the frequency, or is there something else I may be missing? Thanks in advance!

What speed does task mgr and speccy show?

Your DRAM is running at 1600MHz which is 3200MT/s. For many years MHz was used incorrectly for MT/s (Mega Transfers per second). Things have improved but still not perfect.

Wow, I learned quite a bit more about RAM than I knew before. Thanks so much for all of the replies, and I will take the page file settings and fix them up. Thanks again everyone!
