Hi there. Just joined so please forgive any fopas. I have just purchased an acer 14 laptop, nice price but a bit clunky on the net so I thought it might benefit from a memory upgrade. It has only 2GB at the moment. It has DDR3L SDRAM one slot only. I found this on one Ebay

Samsung 4GB DDR3 Memory SO-DIMM 204pin RAM PC3L-12800S 1600MHz M471B5273CH0-YK0, it also mentioned that it was dual voltage 1.5, 1.35, would it be suitable?

Kingston suggests
4GB Module - DDR3L 1600MHz
Part Number: KAC-MEMKL/4G
Specs: DDR3L, 1600MHz, Non-ECC, CL11, 1R, X8, 1.35V, Unbuffered, SODIMM, 204-pin. Anyone with sufficient knowledge who can advise would be appreciated.

Mm any laptop with just 1 slot is not worth upgrade and in my opinion since i HATE laptops just worth getting a new one.
But yes if you MUST upgrade your RAM the Samsung should work and try and overclock the timings down to 9-9-9-24 or even lower if you can. My RAM is at 7-7-7-18 Timings and its pretty fast

Sorry for the delay in answering, just could not get back in. I'm thinking I'll leave the over clocking at least until after I've loaded Win 10, wife getting a bit edgy about messing with it before warranty runs out, me I'd rip it apart in a minute, lol. I found a tweak for Chrome which seems to have sped it up to her satisfaction so I'll leave it at that for the moment. Thanks anyway Ibreakthings.
