Laser printer power

I have an HP Laser printer, and I need to know the proper way on hooking it up to power.
I know I shouldn't use a UPS. Can I use a surge protector? Right now, both of the wall outlets are in use, 1 to a UPS and the other to a surge protector.
Could I get an extender to make the wall outlet to 6 outlets and then plug the laser printer into one of those?

Any help would be appreciated.

@RickiW ,

Welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

To add to what @Lutfij posted, I encountered the same issue. I think, but I don't know, that if the surge protector has no battery, it might work. My solution was to install a "cube", with three outlets directly into the outlet powering my APC 1500 UPS on the other plug-in on the electrical outlet. The Brother MFC colour laser printer likes that just fine. My APC UPS objected strenuously when I connected it to one of its "Surge-Only" protection outlets.

I hope this helps. Have a great day.

Phil
