acer 1420g graphics card upgrade

So i was wondering if someone could suggest a decent video card that could get my computer back on its feet rather than limping along. I currently have a pny geforce 210 graphics card and i would like to step up a little. The computer is currently residing in a full size case so low profile is not needed. Im also using an insignia 400w psu and will be going to 8gb of ram soon aswell.

W/o knowing the nameplate specs of your PSU, I will assume any modern card will have to stay within the limits of the 31W GT 210. One such candidate would be the 30W R9-240. ...it is low quality and not a true 400W unit. If you can provide the rating of the +12V rail, I might be able to recommend a higher performing card.

Yes thats the psu i am now using to replace a cheap junk athena 350w psu. Sorry for the lack of intel. Anyway specifically its the acer ax1420g-u5832 board now resides in a full size gateway case instead of buying a new case. I will also be getting 8gb of ram soon as i find a good deal. To my knowledge i have a pci express 2.1 x16 slot. Just looking for a new graphics card to play sc2 and skyrim better until i can afford a new computer.

I can't find the nameplate specs for that Insignia PSU anywhere. So, unless you can provide them, I will stay with my safe recommendation above.

The PCIe X16 slot @ ver 2.1 should not be any issue.
