Hey there

I just got this monitor in the mail and hooked it up via displayport.

The thing is, it's stuck in 30hz. I go to control panel > display > advanced > monitor and select 60hz in the dropdown box and nothing changes and it goes back to 30. same thing when I do the List All Modes in the menu before.

I have:
amd radeon r9 270
hyperx 10gb ram
amd phenom ii x6 1090t

Basically I just want to know if I'm missing something. Thanks!

I'm an idiot. Thank god I figured this out myself or I would have probably returned it lol.

When I was hooking it up, I put the DVI cord and the DP (DisplayPort 1.2) cords in. Windows thought there were 2 different monitors. I noticed this when I went into my pc's display options - the first time I hooked it up there was no mouse, only a taskbar - that's because it was splitting it between two monitors. This means it was also getting 30hz. so I just unplugged my DVI cable and left my DP cable in.

If u have an hdmi cable or something plugged in along with a DP cable, just use the DP cable.

However, if u plan to use 2 different monitors, you will be locked @ 30hz.
