Acer aspire 5733z how to turn on wireless capability

Bought son a new laptop and it will not find the wireless connection it says to turn on wireless connectivity. How do you do that?

Acer's typically have a slide switch on the front left edge of the laptop to quickly turn the wireless on and off. If you have Bluetooth there might be two switches.
