[SOLVED] Acer Aspire 5742 keyboard issue

HI! I've just taken apart my acer aspire 5742 laptop to replace the fan. Everything seems to have gone ok except now the keyboard isn't working. I've tried reseating it 4 times but I'm not having any joy. Is there some technique or method I'm missing out on. I'm really desperate.
Please help me!!!

I've tried removing the bios battery but that didn't work either.
Seriously can someone help me out?

Figured it out. I was my own fault, I was inserting the ribbon above the zif clip when it should have been underneath it.
