So, I downloaded the game Rust for my Acer Aspire V3-571G, but i wasn't getting the best preformance (10-20 fps at the lowest setting). So I googled around about the computer and it has a NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M (that is a fairly good graphics card). People said they were running games as GTA V, Battlefield 4 etc on medium settings with fairly good fps. I wasn't getting that preformance when I was playing so I downloaded MSI Afterburner to see my GPU speed and if i could overclock, but in Afterburner i noticed that it said that my computer had 2 GPU's. One was the 630m, that one was on very low usage (10%) but also another GPU that was on 95%-100% usage in-game, that one is apperently called Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000. Do I have 2 GPU's and how can I make it so the usage goes to the 630m so I can get a good game preformance?

Solution

You can change which gpu the game uses by changing it in the Nvidia control panel, from intergrated to GT 630m, hope that solves your problem
