acer d270 screen resolution problem!! what should i do?

sreen resolution problem! for example when I open Skype in windows 8, screen resolution does not allow it to open?? how do I solve it?

please explain more. This may work: go to start type control panel choose control panel, and under appearance and personalization, click adjust screen resolution. Then go to the screen resoluton button and make sure it is on recommended. If this doesn't work explain the problem more please
