Acer F690GVM cpu upgrade

I'm currently having AMD antholm 64 and i have bought AMD PHENOM X4 2.2 and i have bought it today, i replaced the old cpu and put in a new one and it didnt boot up any sugestions what could i do and does even this motherboard support AMD phenom x4.

Athlon 64 X2 6000+ is probably around the best CPU you could do.

EDIT: After more research, you're problem is that the CPU you're trying to put into the motherboard is AM2+, while your motherboard is only AM2. Go for the Athlon listed above; it's fairly similar in performance to the Phenom you're trying to use, but is a dual core.

in this link you sent the guy have the same thing as i do and he curently is using the samo cpu i have bought so you are saying me that i cant but this guy can ? 😀
 


In the link I sent you, the guy had to replace it for another CPU, which is what most of the thread ends up being.

It boils down to the Phenom being AM2+, and your motherboard only taking AM2 and specific processor (listed above).
