[SOLVED] Acer GN246HL 144hz

I bough the moitor a couple years ago and it said 144hz but i cant get it to go to 144hz i tried using the duallink dvi cable it came with but my gpu does not have a plug in for it, is there a adapter for hdmi to duallink or anything else i should try?
