[SOLVED] Acer GN246HL Not Running at 144Hz

I’ve had my Acer GN246HL for a while now and only relatively recently I discovered that it has only actually been running at 60Hz, not the advertised refresh rate of 144Hz. After doing some research online, I’ve now managed to make it run at 75Hz but nothing I try can make it go any higher than that. I’m currently using a HDMI cable (which supports 144Hz) to connect the monitor to my graphics card that does support 144Hz and I would really appreciate some advice on how I might be able to fix this!
