"The AG3-605-UR21, costing $999.99, obviously isn't quite so meaty. It's packed with an Intel Core i5-4430 quad-core processor clocked at 3 GHz, 8 GB of DDR3 RAM (32 GB max spanning two slots), [[[a GeForce GTX 660 with 1.5 TB of VRAM]]]"

That's a hell lot of VRAM :)

though it is sort of overpriced, it is still its bit cheaper than its competition. other OEMs would charge around $1500 for this same pc. Id still rather build my own pc for much less.

I remember when acer predators first launched liquid cooling everywhere core 2 quad extreme cpu,Liquid cooled ram,pre over clocked, top of the line graphics and a bad ass case you really could not get anywere else,The case alone I felt was a reason to buy one. Now they just take a normal case with crap air flow a standard i5 or i7 and inflate the price. Come on acer teh hell happened cut it out :(.

Methinks one has to buy the whole system, as it is obviously an OEM-only part :D

I don't get why the prebuilts require you to have a ton of ram when all you want is a better graphics card. Most people won't use all that ram. It's odd for something marketed as a gaming machine and not a workstation.

i think the vram is what makes 99.9% of the cost and it wouldnt be sold if sold separately so acer is marketing the graphics card for them.
