Touch on a desktop monitor sounds pretty useless for the regular consumer... It would be great if they added a wii u tablet type control for touch

I really want see higher resolution become standard, even if I cannot game on it yet, I still want it for normal desktop use.

On a side note, I hate the feel of touch screens, and I really hate the feeling of constantly rubbing fingers on a display.

never did like acer. they were the only monitors that ever failed on me. now i just stick with samsung possibly asus if i were to get another one

For about a grand you can get a better 2560 x 1600 30 inch model. I'm waiting on 4K pc displays to hit for under 2 grand.

I don't know... nice to see the selection of hi-res monitors increase but;
for me 16:9 is for TV's, 16:10 for computing/gaming.

I still don't understand why VGA is an option on any new device, be it monitor or computer. It needs to die already and make DisplayPort or HDMI standard. If you current device can't hack it, get an adapter or get an upgrade.

The thing with 1440p becoming the standard is that suddenly all the games that you could max out easily on 1080p start to feeling sluggish unless you, dare I say, turn down the settings. Not being able to max something out makes it feel incomplete.
