Acer Predator XB321HK , thoughts on this monitor?

The only thing i can think of is that ASUS's model offers 100hz without overclocking I think.
But yeah, 3440x1440, gsync, 100hz - should be awesome.
I've been thinking about pulling the trigger on one of those, but i think i'll be getting a 1440p non ultrawide at 144hz with gsync for half the price.

Yeah. I have the XB27 and its alright. I don't care much for gsync at all and 165hz looks the same as 60hz for me. I know i'm odd but really it doesn't look any different to me.....So for a 4k version with 100hz, make sure you have a video card able to give you consistent fps above 30 or gsync don't work.

"Overclocking" is a gimmick for monitors. it is just a way for the company to not grantee 100hz. If your video card does not have Display port 1.2b or higher it won't work. The cable can be a factor too as low quality ones and longer cables will not be able to output 100hz.

I have an Acer Predator X34 G-sync, and 21: 9 at 3440 x 1440 is brilliant via the Display port even though the optimum refresh rate on my set-up is 95Hz compared to the possible (but not guaranteed) 100Hz. The improvement from 60 to 95 - or even 80 - is marked, but I doubt I'd notice any difference between 95 and 100.

I use a GTX 980Ti and an i5-4670.

For the 21:9 Ultra-Widescreen at 3440 x 1440 Witcher 3 needed minor tweaking, but Rise of the Tomb Raider needed nothing although the latter's pre-defined cut-scenes were in 16:9. Both games were great experiences in 21:9 3440 x 1440 at 95Hz.

WSGF can help with showing what games are optimised for what format, and what tweaks may be necessary.
