My hard drive went out on my Acer M3470G, so I bought a new hard drive and ordered the eRecovery discs from Acer, and I got them installed, and then it needs to reboot, and then I just get the Windows Error Recovery Screen and the only options just restart the computer and end back up at the Windows Recovery Screen. I have read several responses and nothing I read has worked, and everyone else seems to have a laptop, and I have a desktop.

Solution
It is pretty simple and can be done by Windows directly or with ImgBurn.

The recovery disks only work if you have the recovery partition, which was on the old HDD. You need a full install disk. Download the same Windows 7 image as your version from HERE and burn to a DVD. Install the OS, drivers, and windows updates then activate with the key on your laptop sticker.

I downloaded that iso file to my buddy's laptop, and tried to burn the file on a DVD, but the laptop won't burn the file to the DVD. I have never dealt with this kind of thing before.
