Is there any way, any way at all to get audio from the images onscreen. I know this has no speakers, but my PS3 is attached via HDMI. I can change where the audio comes from on my PS3 Audio settings, so theoretically I could have audio sent through to speakers and video sent to the monitor(two separate outputs).

Does anyone know how I can do this? Can I use the SD composite cables(the white and red ones, specifically) and use a slew of adapters to connect to my 3.5mm speakers? For example:

I would set my audio settings to send sound to composite audio cables.

PS3>Composite Cable>Female-Male 3.5mm adapter>Female-Female adapter>Speaker 3.5mm cable>Speakers

Would this work?

Solution
This question relates more to the PS3 than to your monitor, but I think I can help. Under Settings, Sound Settings, Audio Output Settings, there is an option "Audio Input Connector / SCART / AV MULTI", which should allow you to use the cables you mention to connect your speakers. Alternatively, you could activate the "Audio Multi-Output" (just below "Audio Output Settings").
