The scheduled forum maintenance has now been completed. If you spot any issues, please report them here in this thread. Thank you!
It's also listed on NewEgg as 60hz. Perhaps it was incorrectly listed as 160hz earlier or someone misread the 2160 pixels with the 60hz.This is not a 160hz monitor. According to Acer's website:
Vertical Frequency
40 Hz to 60 Hz - DisplayPort
40 Hz to 60 Hz - HDMI
Well... In particular with laptops, 4K takes (a bit) more battery charge, and the difference isn't visible to most users. And then there is also the issue about how much a laptop (via docking station) or business desktop PC can handle. E.g. when a business got themselves "quite recently" laptops with 10th gen Intel i7 vPro, according to Intel, the integrated graphics there can handle 4K@60 at max. And not sure, how it would look like with two or even three 4K monitors at that. Also 2023 released iGPUs do not seem to be pushing it much in such regard....
Would like to see 4k finally get adopted as the defacto resolution, at least for non-gaming.
