Barring price difference, which one would be a better choice? I'm asking this here since i know some of you have these monitors, and I've only read about it. I would love to hear you feedbacks.

From what I've read, the monitors appears to have similar specs, which is what i'm looking for, 27 in., 144hz. Other than that, everything else are technicalities in which I'm not familiar with. I do know that they are both TN, and 1080 rez, which I'm comfortable with. This is the last piece i need for my first build.

Going back to the prices, the reason I'm not putting the prices in consideration I'd because, at this point in time, the two monitors are only $30 dollars apart (BenQ going for 369, and Acer going for 399).

As far as my rig, i have an i7-4790k/gtx 980 card combo. I'll be mainly using it for editing gopro cam and playing games. At the moment, i have GTAV, MGSV and Witcher 3, which, from the way it looks i will be playing these games for awhile.

There is a huge difference which you haven't noticed. The acer has GSync. Won't go into details what GSync is but lets say its a technology preventing screen tearing, with great success, which works only with NVidia GPUs and you happen to have one. Usually difference between monitor with GSync and one without is $100, because GSync is really worth it. So if the price differenc e is so insignificant, just go for thee Acer, don't even think about it!
