Low res screen, questionable OS updates, dual core mediatek cpu(reasonable), only 8GB storage, but most importantly only 512MB RAM. The RAM would be a huge bottleneck IMO, specially on Jellybean. 1GB is the norm now. Rather spend the $200 on the nexus 7, well worth the price tag. Or grab a used one on ebay or craigslist if you really want something at 100 bucks, else just wait till Google reduces the pricing next year.

should have pumped the screen to 1280x720 and your PR people can push it as an HD screen.

1024x600 is just a bit too low end even at $99.

[citation][nom]xpeh[/nom]Man, and they can't even make a phone under 200 dollars with similar specs.[/citation]

partially cost of adding 3g/4g functionality... it isn;t just the hardware cost it is also the cost of patents and using another company's IP to make your antena work and be legal plus has to get government approval in all countries you want it in, it isn't as smiple as slappign an antenna in the device.. that said at $99 i'd buy one just to throw in my backpack and have acess to some pdf's and limited media use assumign it has an sd slot
