Thats what alot say, but there have been things disproving this. Either way, the monitor has a 2.0 port which i am using, but i believe the radeon fury is only 1.4. not sure if that matters. since its the output. But i dont see why they would design a monitor, this monitor is fairly new btw and with only hdmi and 144hz and not being able to achieve it.
It's an AMD driver issue as far as I'm aware. I have an XG2401 and can get 144 Hz over HDMI with NVIDIA cards, but with AMD cards if I try to set resolutions above 120 Hz it gives me the same message "Settings are not compatible with this monitor" etc. You can try overriding it with the
Custom Resolution Utility, but I didn't have any luck personally.
