Hey, I Acidentally left CS:GO open while playing Life is Strange
I didn't experience any fps drops, lag spikes.
Is this bad for my system, could this have damaged my system?

Thanks, Jiry!

Solution
Damage - No.

You did not include system specs but if some aspect of hardware, software, configuration, etc. was stressed then there would have been errors, pop-ups, temperature warnings, crashes, etc..

Besides with CS:GO just open and not being played it was not really consuming any system resources.

Easy answer: if your computer didn’t shut down or even restart. The answer is probably no
If you are having any problems then I can help you troubleshoot.
But if you aren’t experiencing any new issues. Definitely don’t sweat it.

What other people have said. No way it will damage your PC. It's just like leaving open Chrome with a bunch of tabs, it will just sit in memory and consume some cpu usage, if you have enough to do both, it won't have any effect, if you have limited resources, it would just slow down the active application while it moves stuff to swap.
