Active Window stops

When typing in the active window, Earthlink mail program, or Lotus 123, or
Word( or even this inquiry!), after about 1-2min, the active window goes away
and then have to click on the window to get control back. What is causing
this annoyance??

I think you have installed bad program which gives a focus. For example
you may have spyware installed on your computer.
