[SOLVED] Adaptive Sync only works if max FPS is at 50 FPS or under

My monitor is LC27F591FDNXZA which is Freesync compatible. Since I have RTX2080 I couldn't utilize freesync and so I had to go with adaptive sync settings, I then noticed in Nvidia Pendulum Demo that Adaptive sync only works if my max fps is at 50 or under.

Is there's a way to fix this or at least get it to work at 60FPS?

[Update]

It only works if max FPS is at 50FPS, I still get screen tear at 40FPS

You're connected via DisplayPort cable?

Obviously your monitor only has a 48-72Hz refresh range, which is a bit narrow, and no LFC.
I know for AMD you can use "Chill" which regulates the GPU frequency to stay between a user-selectable FPS range, making such limited refresh ranges easier to deal with. I'm not aware of anything that quite does that for Nvidia so aside from Geforce Experience FPS target settings, you kindof have to set up the game settings manually to get inside that range. A RTX2080 is going to have NO problem exceeding 72FPS on most/any games at 1080p, so you're looking at choking it down further with RTX and/or DSR, or setting a lower GPU frequency profile to save power/heat/noise.
You absolutely CAN use FreeSync. All you have to do is plug your monitor into your 2080 using a DisplayPort cable, have at least Nvidia driver 417.71 (Jan 2019) and enable FreeSync/GSync in your Nvidia settings:

  • Enable FreeSync on your monitor OSD
  • Go to "Manage 3D Settings", scroll down to "Monitor Technology" and select "GSync Compatible" in the drop-down.
  • Go to Nvidia Control Panel - "Set Up G-Sync" tab - and click "enable G-Sync"

Sadly that's what I exactly did and here are those screenshot

Freesync in my monitor-

and selected G-SYNC Compatible under Monitor technology

G-Sync seems to only work when my FPS is at 50, if it goes under or higher I still get screen tear.
