I'm not that knowledgeable about Win10 customization, but there are plethora of different columns, that you can display. And you should be able to pick one suitable one, to repurpose it to your needs.

Here's guide on how to add/remove columns,

Scroll down quite a lot, until you reach "Customize Details View - Choose Which Columns to Show".

I looked the list of all possible columns and e.g File Description could be repurposed for your "comments" needs. However, which i didn't figure out, is how to add custom info into file description column.

This is close to what i need. The comments i am able to get now are for files, but not folders unfortunately.. This comment can be edited through properties.

You need to edit the "desktop.ini" file in each folder, if the file is not there, you can create a new one.

The content of the "desktop.ini" file is below:

[ViewState]
Mode=
Vid=
FolderType=Videos
[.ShellClassInfo]
IconResource=C:\Windows\System32\SHELL32.dll,4
InfoTip=Your Folder Comment Goes Here

Please note that INI file is a system file so you need to change the Folder's View option to show those system files (Uncheck the "Hide protected system file" option).

After creating or editing the "desktop.ini" file using Notepad (do not use Word), you must close Files Explorer then open it again to see the content of the comments column.
