Question Add HDD to Lenovo V130-151kb

My Lenovo V130-151kb laptop has a 128G M2 SATA drive, and internal connector for a second drive; but when I install a good unformatted 1TB HDD It goes to windows repair.
Is there some trick to adding a second drive to this laptop?

Is the disk new?
Have you checked in Bios which disk is set as default to be booted from?
