[SOLVED] Add Intel Optane memory, worth it?

I've got a Z690 and 12600k, and making some system changes including NVMe drive. I have many M.2 slots, would an Intel Optane memory help make my system snappier? I use it for entertainment (movies and such...on HDD) and gaming. No heavy editing work. Easy stuff with GIMP.

So. get it or not? I'm just not sure how to setup the system with it since I'll have a NVMe M.2 and one spinning rust [just ?] for storage.

Intel Optane technology was favorable when M2 drives were really expensive. Today not so. Actually, the technology had become obsolete as soon as it emerged.

No buy a good large M2 drive, you will never look back.

Yeah I have a 3tb HDD, I thought the Optane might improve its speeds. But I'll keep this spinning rust. I have a 2tb M.2 going in soon.

Optane only works on system drive, not storage. Since your system drive is already M.2 you would get zero benefit from it.
