Hi, I am wondering what I need to do to add a secondary drive (1 TB HDD) to my computer.
I have a 240 GB SSD already installed, but now I feel like I need more space for other things.
Is there some where I can look on how to place the drive into my PC and steps for installing iit onto my PC so it works? The PC has windows 10 home installed onto the SSD. I just want to place a new 1 TB HDD onto my PC and I do not want to ruin anything.

I'm new to this so any and all advice is welcome.

Solution
This is so straightforward, there is no way to mess it up dude, do what they^ say.

If you are so afraid to mess it up, why don't you have backups? Someday, somehow, soon enough...
there should be youtube clips
turn off, open up.
screw the HDD into bay
plug sata power and sata data cable into drive and the other data end to a sata port on the mobo
close case and boot up.
If new drive isnt in file explorer / my computer - right click the start menu and select disk management
In there you should see the new drive which is unallocated- click it to initialize and format.
ready to use

just mount it in the case. There are places for hard drives. screw it in. connect a power cable to it (wide think connector with black/red/yellow/possibly a orange cable) the get a SATA cable connect it to the hard drive and then to any open slot.

Power on the PC.

Once in windows login and right click on the Start menu icon and go to disk management. it should ask to initilize disk. Just hit ok or next. In the list you should see the 1Tb drive with a long black bar. Right click on this bar and then click on new simple volume. Just click next though everything.

If you want it to be your D drive which i usually do and if you have other things like Card readers and DVD drives then we would have to move some drive letters around. if you don't care about it then leave it as it is. If you want to move like your user documents there read up on this article here.
