Adding an Antenna to a Huaweii Hub

I think it's possible to string wire lampcord up an interior wall and into the attic of a house to improve this hub's ability to "capture" the waves it needs to provide good internet. But I don't know how to connect the wire to the hub or whether I have to connect it. Can anybody help me with this.

I think, we need a little more details here. Do you have the exact model of the router? From waht you wrote, I guess it is a mobile connection, like LTE or G3? At least without cable? And are you sure, the problem is between your ISP and the router, not the router and your laptop?

Easy to buy and fit a bigger one on a long cable you may need 2, whether the Antenna in external or internal the connection is standard you would have to open it up if its internal. Higher the DB the better.

The wireless router has to have SMA connectors to upgrade your antennas.
