Adding another 8GB ram

Hi, I am planning to add another same model Ram to my current rig. I am wondering how much would the performance boost. I do watch some comparison video about 8GB vs 16GB Ram video, some game gained a lot of improved (game like bo4), but most of the game only gained abit(5-10+fps) . Please advice, thankyou

Gtx1070ti
8gb ddr4 2666

Having 16GB in 2 modules have these effects,
1. Dual channel, it helps performance but by how much depends on SW used.
2. More RAM, helps in cases when SW demands more, ie. uses all or most of available memory and it has to be swapped to disk which is way slower than RAM itself.
