Adding boot flag to a different drive

Hello everyone.

Got a question that I don't know how to answer.

I have recently purchased a 1TB Samsung SSD Pro and installed Windows 10 in it. All went fine, installation was fast and everything.

However, I have other two storage devices - a 2.5TB HDD by Western Digital and a 2TB Seagate HDD.

I didn`t quite understand why the installation wizard did not "warn" me that Windows would create a 450MB system reserved partition and I completely missed it.

I have been running this installation for a couple of months now and now that one of the drives is playing up and will need a replacement soon, I decided to buy another HDD with lots of space (6TB) and, for my surprise, the MBR on that disk is the MBR with boot instructions to the SSD.

The BIOS is set to boot from the HDD, but the OS is installed on the SSD. I didn't realize that until it was too late. I don`t want to reinstall Windows again. I'm not very familiar with boot flags and how it works in Windows as I am an avid Linux user and on Linux, Grub does all that for you with ease.

I tried to use Win10's DVD to "fixmbr" with no luck. Even the GUI tools to repair the boot says that it can't be resolved.

Any ideas?

Thanks
