Adding extra memory

I was looking to add more ram to my system, I currently have:

Can I add more ram to my system using something like this:

Maybe, is the most realistic answer. Those two sets of RAM seem similar. But there is no guarantee they will co-exist. After you add the new RAM, run MEMTEST for overnight to ensure that the hardware is happy.

Can I get a second set of the same stuff I have? Those should be compatible right?

No, even mixing 2 sets of the same make and model are not guaranteed to work together.

You could buy the 2x8gb and sell your 2x4gb. Even if you got the (2x4gb) & (2x8gb) to work together it would only work in single and not dual channel mode.

I agree with the first parts. But since you have filled slots, it should still be dual channel. 8GB in dual channel for the first set plus 16GB in dual channel for the second set.

But do you REALLY need 24GB RAM would be the next question you need to ask. Using the 16GB and selling the 8 would be my recommendation also.
