Adding memory

my pc has a 256mb 3200 memory. can i put two 512mb 4200. in the extr slots i have three

As long as the memory is the right kind for the motherboard (ddr1/2) then yes.

If I am not mistaken, you have two different type of memories.

3200 memory is DDR
4200 memory is DDR2

DDR2 do not fit into DDR slots

what motherboard do you have?
