Hello,

my specs:

1. ASRock X99 Extreme4/3.1, X99, QuadDDR4-213

2. Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (Kit 4x4GB) 2400MHz DDR4 CL14 1.2V, XMP 2.0

3. Intel Core i7-5820K, Hexa Core, 3.30GHz, 15MB, LGA2011-V3, 22nm,140W

4. MSI GeForce GTX 970, 4GB GDDR5 (256 Bit

5. Super Flower Leadex 80 Plus Platinum Netzteil, schwarz - 550 Wat

_

I would like to add new 16 GB RAM into my computer.

My question:

I have 4x4, can I add 2x8 into my motherboard or its better to have another 4x4?

Should I prefer only 2400mhz? or can I choose for example 3200mhz?

I should stick with only one brand, right? (corsair)

Thank you.

2400mhz and 3200mhz will result in all sticks running at 2400Mhz if it will run together not all motherboards play nice when mixing.
No matter how fast the extra Ram that you add there not all the same speed there going to all run at the slowest ram stick’s speed. For example in this case you want to add 3200mhz to your pc although you already have 2400mhz ram the new ram will
Be running at 2400mhz so there will
Not be a speed upgrade but you will have more ram to use.
