Additional / Replacement Case Fans

I recently purchased the Corsair 400R and was wondering about the case fans. The case comes with 3 120MM fans stock (2 front, 1 rear), and the ability to add more for a total of 10 fans. I'd like to add at least 2 additional fans, one on the side door as an additional intake, and one at the top as an exhaust. Both of these areas can support up to 2 120M or 2 140MM fans. I've read that 140MM fans move more air at lower noise levels.

I'm fairly novice when it comes to fans, so I'm looking for some opinions on fan brands and some advice on typically what you would look for in a top / side fan in terms of amount of air flow.

So far, I've been looking at the following:
Enermax T.B.SILENCE
Scythe Slip Stream

Some questions (to make responding easier):
1) Should I replace the stock fans from the Corsair 400R?
2) Should I go with a 120MM or 140MM fan for the side intake and top exhaust (and should I put 2 fans in each place)?
3) What is a reliable, quiet, fan that moves a lot of air (should I go for, Enermax, Scythe, or something else)?

Thanks in advance

I just bought the very same case, and was searching the forum for the answer to this very question. From what I've read, a 140mm fan will be quieter while providing greater cooling. I was planning on getting one 140mm for the top as an exhaust fan, and one 140mm for the side for intake. I figure two 140's will be quieter and pull less power than 3 or 4 120's. As for the stock fans, Newegg reviews are generally positive, however the rear exhaust fas may deserve replacing.

I'm currently waiting for Tom's comprehensive fan review which they said was in the works.

The Vortex is a good fan by all accounts i've read.= nice for rads and coolers!
I have a big mix of fans currently, most are Antec 3-spd and CM's stock supplied with my cases (plus a few added from both companies).
Not exactly cutting edge fans but they do the job well.
Have added a couple of Thermalright Silent-X's = very nice and quiet(FDB)
When the Tri-Cools wear out Enermax TB's are going in.
