Hello All,
I'm trying to use the repair feature on my Windows XP Pro system. However, I am being asked for the admin password that I put in at setup...I did'nt put a password. When I try doing a system restore it wants a password to continue. Any ideas?
Thanks

Repair or Restore? They're 2 different things. If you're booting from the XP CD and selected R for Repair just hit Enter for the password.

I'm getting an error message (windows could not start because a file is missing or corrupt) it says use CD to repair, select 'r' on first screen. When I select 'r' I reach a point where it asks which setup do I want to repair and there is only one- 1 C:windows. So, I choose 1 and thats when it wants the administrator password. If I press enter without putting in a password the system restarts.
Thanks
Gil

Press Enter at that first screen, and R at the next repair screen to do an operating system overwrite. Do not boot to the cd the next two restarts.
