[citation][nom]silverblue[/nom]Can Adblock keep me away from any articles containing the words Apple AND anything beginning with iP OR i-P? Please say it can.Please?[/citation]
No it cannot, but your own judgement can stop you from clicking on those articles, try using it sometime.

[citation][nom]kakarlus[/nom]the world doesn't revolve around apple or google. the world revolves around the sun.[/citation]
You mean, like, Java? I hardly think so!

I'm still not used to seeing opinion articles in Tom's. Whenever I read an article that starts to sound opinion based instead of fact based, I scroll up, then see Wolfgang is the author, and immediatly think "ah, it's another one of those articles", and move on to another article.

If some of you don't like Apple try to keep the focus where it is, its about Adobe Edge this time. I really care very little about the Apple, Adobe dispute. I just downloaded Edge but haven't played with it yet. However I started to play with a light html5 tool on the Mac side called Hype that only costed me $30 and it works very well but limited. To me any powerful tool on any side Mac or PC that allows me to be very creative and at a reasonable price deserves a try. I think Adobe has a great chance to be a big player in html5 and that is fine with me but if someone else creates a great tool at reasonable price that is even better for myself.

I like Flash and I use it a lot for web design and light presentations but also hated it for many reasons. Its a mixed bag. I don't think it needs to disappear completely, I don't know, but it doesn't need to be almost the only option or the dominant player. I like html5 a lot from what I've seen and tried so I will follow close what Adobe does with Edge. Also keep in mind Adobe acknowledge Edge is not even in a beta development yet so there is a lot of room to move into different directions and Adobe is "listening".

Well obviously you don't otherwise you wouldn't be commenting would you?

Why are you obviously attacking Apple on this?
It has very little if anything to do with Apple and everything to do with HTML 5 becoming a new standard?

Google and the rest of the IT world has banded around moving away from Flash - Apple may have been the first to land a hammer but it was common sense (Since Google - whom you love also got on the bandwagon) as Flash is full of vulnerabilities and Adobe has done a bad job (until recently) to update it.

You hate Apple, We all got it, loud and clear! Tom's is slowly becoming an Apple (for good or worse) bashing ground - This should be a blog article, not news as it's full of opinion...

[citation][nom]amk-aka-phantom[/nom]About time.[/citation]

Really? You would rather have biased news to taint your views... Hmm.

I would rather have neutral reporting and allow us to make our own opinons and arguments.

Tom's is like the Fox "News" of the Internet...

[citation][nom]shreeharsha[/nom]World is just the human thing, actually it's the Earth that revolves around Sun.[/citation]
What?

Yes, the word "World" is made up - we as humans MADE IT UP. Same as "Earth" and "Sun" - and EVERY single word and letter I just typed. It's ALL made up.

So what's your point? You're not okay with the made up word "World", but prefer the other made up word "Earth"?

Relax... I'd rather have neutral reporting, too. Just couldn't hold myself from posting that, lol.

That's one of the reasons why I don't visit this site anymore. Most of the anti-Apple members here are *morons*

Well, I hate to burst your bubble, but you just visited it again... =)

Should HTML 5 become a success story, it must go through a precise standardization. No one would want to write seperate pages for various browsers especially the IE.

LOL... We may disagree but at least the reporting should just be that - Reporting - I can handle all the Apple bashing when it's people's opinions.

Funny thing is, this article's author (Wolfgang Gruener) is usually very pro-Apple. Don't know what changed in the last 3 days 😀

And using your own judgement to avoid posting snotty replies is something we're all born with, try using that sometime.

Where did I place that +999 button....

I almost ...ALMOST get the feeling that the Powers That Be WANT to lead the sheeple to the new world of DUMBED DOWN COMPUTING BY DESIGN!

That is accomplished by

1) Pushing "The Apple Way"
2) Pushing "The Cloud"

Am I imaging things...? I think not!

Oh I forget number 3

3) Internet 2

Which only allows the biggest main stream corporate sites to get traffic, and of course you have to PAY to visit ANY site.
