Hello, I'm new to the forum and I don't know very much at all about computer hardware. I was trying to build a time-lapse in Adobe Lightroom and got an error that said something about DirectX12. I don't have the error and can't seem to recreate the error. I do have the information below and if anyone could help I would really be thankful. I'll start with the template and put the additional info below.
EDIT Since I posted this question I realize I should have said the "error" message I saw was actually more of a "notification" it couldn't create or maybe play the video. It wasn't like something went wrong it was more like the computer wasn't capable so Lightroom wouldn't do it. I played with the software more and wasn't able to get the original message again but I did eventually get a different and maybe more helpful message that said....
"Video Problem Detected
Slideshow playback and export to video have been disabled because your video card or driver is not supported. Please check with your video card vendor to make sure your driver is up to date. For more information, please visit Adobe's support page."
I believe the driver is the most current one available. If the video card isn't supported is the information I posted below about the computer enough for someone to know if the video card can be changed in this computer and which ones I should consider? Or any thoughts on another way around this?
APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: As soon as possible. BUDGET RANGE: I'm not gaming I just need to get the time-lapse feature in Adobe Lightroom to work. So the budget is as little as makes sense.
USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: No gaming. Just Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop.
CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: No idea at all. I'll post information from my computer below and if that isn't enough info please tell me how to the additional info to add to this post.
