Yup, it is pretty slow. Blade Fury with ~25% CB works at about the same
speed, maybe a little quicker on the ones that have built in Fire Resists.
The real fun is when the Boss turns up SS/FE/LI. Those can take a bit of
work.

Holy cow, that's _bad_. 🙁

My utmost respect for playing SP HC in that environment!

Hmmm. Not good. I'll see how my IK Barb fares against such stuff. He's on
the Ladder, in NM, and until now I just merrily hacked away at any boss I
encounter, including Fire Enchanted ones. The Death Explosions didn't do
any significant damage actually, strangely, since I understood the FE bug
was not fixed for NM online... Hmm.

Yeah. I was convinced to move to B.Net when the first Ladder only
runewords appeared, and I noticed some pretty nice ones between that
(Duress for instance).

Of course, it was finally the trading aspect of the game which kept me
online, despite the appearance of at least one patch which puts all the
new Ladder-only runewords in SP.

Regards,

Patrick.

YES! Someone else has the curse as well.
SvH messaged me to join a game he was in because uniques seemed to be
raining from the sky. So I jumped in, killed the Hell Council, Meph, and
the Countess.

Not one unique. I mean the char isn't geared up for MF, but she's got
around 340 or so. Best I got was an Ort rune, and 2 flawless gems.
This game hates me.

Sorcs are my favorite class, so I've considered trying it with a Sorc. But
they are so fragile. And not having a castable minion makes the Ancients
problematic. I could easily find myself facing them without a tank.

Bastards.

A Hammerdin has to stand too close. And with the FE bug in SP it's just a
matter of time.

That's why Fireball is so beautiful :)
I faced them down in Normal all on my own, no problems whatsoever.
NM, same thing.
Hell, I had to reroll them quite a few times. The first few times 2 of them
showed up Fire/Cold Immune, and that just wasn't going to work out in my
favor.

Yup, that's what I figured.
You still forgot the LF/Freezing Arrow Zon :)
