[SOLVED] Advertised processor base speed vs what the computer is telling me

Hi,

I recently bought a computer where the specs say the base processor speed should be 4.8 Ghz. When I checked the computer about info and also in the task manager, it's telling me the base processor speed is 2.8 Ghz. It also says I have 4 cores and 8 logical processors. The processor is 11th gen intel (r) core (tm) i7-1165G7 @ 2.8 Ghz. Can anyone tell me why the specs online say one thing and my computer says another? I'm not computer hardware savvy and of course, the people at BestBuy weren't much help and couldn't give me a straight answer. All of the other specs match up but that one.

2.8 Ghz is the Base Frequency and 4.7 GHz is the maximum Boost Frequency.

I don't know what Specs you are referring to, BUT the link I provided show the actual Specs of that CPU.
