[citation][nom]nelson_nel[/nom]Tom's does not care about it reader's in any facet other than the revenue generation they provide. This labeling is done strictly because of new legislation that has just passed.[/citation]

Since Chris obviously has enough decency not to step in here, I will. As a writer for Tom's Hardware, I can assure you that this advertorial has absolutely nothing to do with any legislation. And if all we cared about was revenue generation from readers, Chris, myself, and many others here behind Tom's wouldn't be up working past midnight on a regular basis, trying to make the content here are good and informative as we possibly can. The advertorial labeling was done as a purely elective disclosure. Believe me, there has been ample discussion behind the scenes on how to handle this, and in the end it was decided that it would be best to inform readers when an article is sponsored versus when it isn't. Ad dollars don't buy a sponsor the moon. We're never going to tell you a 4650 card outperforms a 280 GTX when everyone knows it doesn't. We're never going to sacrifice the site's honesty and integrity. But for those who wonder, "Hey, why didn't they mention NVIDIA?" you immediately know the answer. It's an advertorial. We thought readers would appreciate knowing the difference.

Advertorial with misleading information regards hybrid crossfire? Could we have some one more knowledgeable address this or someone with the resources to test the implied hybrid crossfire possibilities?

"With a slightly different configuration, we could have used a motherboard with integrated AMD graphics and a 4650/4670 add-in card to achieve the same results, although we really wanted the extra performance of the 4550 above what an IGP could provide." - Hidden Values on Page 8.

You won't be safe anywhere. All review sites eventually get some free gear or ads or kick backs or somekind of benefits. Maybe not all the time, but eventually over time. You cannot escape it!

The 4670 I have sucks. When I'm gaming no matter what the game I get these random frame rate drops. It'll run normal about 40-60 fps depending on the game for about 2 minutes and then drop to about 3fps for about 40 seconds or so and goes back to normal. It does that in a continuous loop. I'm going to invest in a 4870 and hope the performance of that one doesn't drive me to Nvidia

I am using HD4350 with P4 3Ghz and 512MB ram and I played Resident Evil 5 With Highest graphic qualities with anti aliasing 4x. So I guess HD4650 will be much better than mine.
