Question Advice/Double Check My Build

First off, I’m sorry to be adding to the amount of build help threads. Secondly, I haven’t build or had a PC for a minute. So that being said I feel like I’ve been missing out on a lot of good titles and content, especially on Steam. I started looking around and saw a post by Danny Choo. His gaming PC was featured in the post and I thought I’d like one too. I really liked the case most of all. I then quickly put together a little list of parts, but I’m absolutely unsure if it would all work together and would have some possibility for upgrades in the future as system requirements ever increase.

So, I’m here hoping y’all lovely forum goers would lend me your expertise and recommendations on possible alterations if need be. Special considerations, I’m not overly interested in RBG lighting, so if you know any alternatives for the cooling fan and motherboard I would be grateful. And thank you for your time and any insight you can provide me.

Straight away I am going to mention to you to consider moving up to a 5600X or better. In the case that you do you will need to be sure that your motherboard supports it out of the box, or if it will need a BIOS update to be compatible. This is the fun inherent in selecting from AMD's offerings today. Don't get me wrong, AM4 has been a great platform overall, but some of this compatibility quagmire is a bit of a PITA for the end user.

It's probably just me, but I would suggest a higher wattage PSU. The unit you picked is of good quality but also of the minimum suggested wattage for the 3080 ti.

The cooler is absolutely not going to be better than a Wraith flavor.

edit- if the board isn't compatible out of the box with the 5xxx, there are boards that allow you to flash from USB without components. I did not look to see if the selection you made is among those.

That all seems be a little more of a hassle than the plug and play I was hoping it would be. I guess I have a little tweaking to do.

A higher wattage PSU probably wouldn't hurt.

I'll have to look into Wraith coolers. Just from a quick Google; I kinda like the stealth variants.

I'd like not to spend too much, maybe $2,250.00, but I'll probably hunt around for the best price for new or look for used/second hand parts.

I have a LG 27UN880-B Ultrafine Monitor 27” right now that I use as a second monitor for my MacBook.

Note these tests are at ULTRA settings (no ray tracing since you could cut your FPS in half by using the highest quality RT). You'd get considerably better FPS at a more reasonable "High" setting.

It saves you money by pulling the cheapest sources of components. Some sales/coupon codes don't reflect in PCPP. Amazon pricing fluctuates by the minute, and newegg has sales flyers that come out pretty much every day, so make sure you give one final "manual" search before buying.
