I just moved to China to study for a couple years, and I want a PC to game on in my downtime.
Approximate Purchase Date: this week
Budget Range: Prices are much higher in china, but current build is priced at 1370 USD (inlcuding monitor and case)
System Usage from Most to Least Important: gamin, internet
Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: It will be easiest to shop locally
Country of Origin: Buying in China, from USA
Parts Preferences: intel build
Overclocking: Not now, but maybe in a couple years when the specs are looking a little stale
SLI or Crossfire: No
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080
Additional Comments: I want to be able to play Skyrim, The Witcher 2, and other modern games at as high of settings as possible
My current build looks like this:
Asus P8Z68 V-Pro
Zotac GTX 560 Ti 1GB GDDR5
Intel i5 2500K
8GB 1600 Mhz DDR3
WD Caviar Black 1TB
Antec 750W EA-750
My question: Is the z68 and i5 2500k worth the extra few hundred dollars (parts cost more to buy in china) or should i save the money and go with an i3-2100 and an H67 motherboard like the ASUS P8H67-M Pro? For either setup, I think I would still go with the GTX 560 Ti. I have an X58, i7 920 rig at home in the U.S., but I could not bring it with me here.
